@survivorfan1 He truly loves IMSA and would be devastated to return to his home school. IMSA is whatever you make of it and there are so many different opportunities to take advantage of. I agree with @llanaknits that everyone should have the opportunity to apply and attend if they want to and are qualified.
Obama met with the state legislators today, yes, but it wasn’t to discuss IMSA. However, Obama knows all about IMSA. He talked about IMSA when discussing the accomplishments of Pranav Sivakumar '17, and could be a good advocate to get the school some state money. http://youtu.be/myf_VYrnTAk
Write your legislators and specifically reference IMSA. Until they appropriate $$, pass a budget, or close the doors, it’s not too late.
@DOTexe Just so you know, no students are paying nothing to come to IMSA. The minimum fee is $500.

You all are worrying too much about the budget cuts. If there was even a slightest chance that IMSA would shut down, then our parents would be notified as would we. The students here haven’t gotten a single hint of what’s going on and Dr. Torres has been quick to settle down any fear about IMSA shutting down.

I got a 800 M 650 CR and 700W. My composite is 2150. Not bad. I am not very good at reading lol. I really hope this is good enough for direct admissions, I really don’t want to be waitlisted and I REALLY don’t want to be rejected.
I’m pretty sure an 800 Math is exactly what they’re looking for…
Yeah, congrats on 2100. We have the same scores and same resume. We (if all goes well) need to meet on orientation day.

@YoloSwagMaster Congrats on the 800 on math! I got that on my first try but I had a bad reading score so I didn’t use that SAT. I got 780 the next time because of a one problem difference (and I KNEW which one I got wrong. Time ran out before I could correct it.)

People have different situations in the classes and resources they have. Some of us have had more opportunity and some have not. If you don’t feel comfortable telling us your scores, that’s fine. But don’t feel like your going to be judged, that’s not what this chat is about.
@ck1012 I had the same problem as you, but my test form was basically all algebra; the only geometry problems I had to do were like areas of a circle so I got pretty lucky
