Imsa applicant class of 2019

@survivorfan1 yes I was trying to joke, sorry for being not so funny…

@madmax1503 the accepted/waitlist number is for this year?

Woah. The waitlist is so big :-w

@YoloSwagMaster I will be very surprised if you don’t get called.

I hope I get one

@Kagero Lol andrew du said there was a guy in fischer with OP stats who didn’t get in. From scullen a girl got in with 700 math, but we all know she’s super smart and she must of had OP essays and teacher recs. From crone a guy got in with 780 math, but he just got into PA this year…

@Kagero Lol also my friend who goes to scullen got the interview with literally like a 3.5 GPA and like 590 Cr 740 Math. So, I guess IMSA selects people for the interview differently…

So, do they pick at least one applicant from each school. Second. what are the most important parts on the application. Third of all, would it be a big deal if I got the Presidential Award For Academic Excellence. Fourthly, would it be a plus if I am the only person applying from a school next year.

@lsutiger25 That unfortunate guy from Fischer is me.

@lsutiger25 I thought my essays were honest and I write well. Teacher Rec I have no control over as fischer teachers are not very keen on IMSA as a school.

@SurvivorFan I agree. I think my essays weren’t bad .Teacher recommendations I have no control over that. though I am from a dist 204 school not many from my middle school apply to IMSA.

@Kagero Ok well you’re lucky. You are going to waubonsie so your only competition is andrew and roshan. Scullen splits so I am going to neuqua. And everyone at neuqua are like crazy good. there is like 6 people applying for waubonsie, and 15 from neuqua next year.

@Kagero If you will apply next year you will get in. I am pretty sure

smh rip my chances at imsa next year. The people applying from neuqua next year are all super good. So, this means SAT math is crucial and essays basically. Whoever has the best SAT math scores tied in with essays will get admissions to IMSA. If like 15 people are applying from neuqua, than its most likely the top 5 get in. RIP my chances as neuqua applicants next year are all either legacies or number one state math champs lol

Well, I am thinking to move to some super rural school for next year to be the only one applying in like 100 miles <:-P Just was joking again… :stuck_out_tongue:

@javascript Honestly, in my situation, I probably should lol. My luck has destroyed me as I am going to horrid neuqua. Neuqua is pretty trash for academics. But, everyone who goes here are super smart. And, the top kids apply to IMSA. I consider myself top, but I don’t know how to compete with the math gods applying from neuqua. I might as well move to like carbondale lol.

@lsutiger25 Lets run in a woods, in the less populated area of Illinois, live modest lives, hunt deers for food and clothing, grow garden and so on… if we will survive the winter there, we should definitely get accepted to IMSA just because of our
dedication the the goal  … hmmm… well, no, we should occupy different forests, since we do not want to compete with each other for admission =))

@javascript Dude I has an easier solution! You know the movie madagascar? What we do is we take all the students that are applying to IMSA, and ship them to madagascar! Then, we will get in for sure cause we have no competition! It is a full proof plan!!!

@lsutiger25 well, my plan is REAL at least <:-P

@javascript Huh that makes me wonder. Do you think homeschooled kids have a huge advantage compared to everyone else?
