In between a rock and a hard place :(

I have a parent who was admitted to the physicatric hospital for a brief stint during my sophmore year. He’s doing great and in supurb condition. My grades didn’t struggle noticibly but it got me a little out of sorts during my soph. year. I usaully had a 90 average but it down to a 86 that year. I feel bad for saying this but should I place this on my admissions to use as an advantage to explain my grades?

This is the kind of thing that your college counselor can and should mention in her recommendation which she sends to all of your colleges. Talk to her about it, and see what she says. I don’t think I would use it in your application, though. Besides, the difference between and 86 and a 90 isn’t that great.
