In case you had forgotten what a total genius Steve Martin is.

Someone sent me this this morning. Do watch it to the end.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2kKuPVJJjI&search=the%20great%20flydini

Thank you, it was wonderful!

He really is a comic genius, isn’t he? To even think up something like that is amazing. But now, could someone tell me how on earth he did that?

He was always very good with magic tricks. Watch it again…I think the left arm is a dummy.

Man, now I feel like a dummy! I was going nuts trying to figure out how he did that!

Thank you, driver. The Johnny Carson show, right? It was good to see this to be reminded about his comic genius. His Pink Panther attempt was a dreadful attempt at following the genius of Peter Sellers.

Someone please explain the lit cigarette! How’d he do that???

Man, I figured it out, you have to look carefully and if anyone wants to know, pm me…hehehheh

Yes, that was Carson–the real Tonight Show, for you youngsters. I loved those old Steve Martin standup routines from my high school days. When I heard that they were going to do a remake of Pink Panther my first reaction was: why? Who tries to remake something that was perfect the first time…who does an updated version of “Casablanca”? But, I thought, if anyone could pull it off, it would be Steve Martin, who I think is the heir to Peter Sellers’ legacy. Apparently he didn’t pull it off (I haven’t seen it). Celebrity deaths don’t often affect me much, but I was very sad when Sellers died…there are few human qualities I value as much as humor. Glad you enjoyed the clip.

Johhny was great but lets not forget Jack

He is a wild and crazy guy! :)

Steve Martin is in Mensa.

Anyone else notice he looks the same now as back then?

Long Beach State I believe

Check out the short “The Absent-Minded Waiter” - classic Steve Martin. It also includes Buck Henry and Terri Garr.
