In need of advice.

I just graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA, 10th out of 219, with a 1560 SAT and president of almost every club I joined.

I applied to 9 schools. I got into my safety, wait listed to three (NYU, GWU, UChicago) but rejected from the rest which were Ivy Leagues (Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia, Princeton).

I want to know if I should attend my safety, (Rutgers), all four years on a pre-law track and apply to Harvard law. Or should I try to transfer to an Ivy League within my first two years? In either case I would like to end up going to Harvard Law. Which path is most recommended?

if you look at the threads in this forum you will see that transferring into an Ivy is probably more difficult than getting in as a Freshman. Plus the amount of financial aid you would get is reduced. Rutgers is an excellent university and you can get as good preparation for law school there as anywhere else. Whether you get into Harvard Law will depend on your preparation and LSAT scores so it is more or less up to you to make the best of your 4 years as an undergraduate. It is not clear whether graduating from Rutgers will be a detriment if the rest of your application is very strong. In any case, Harvard Law also have a low admission rate so you probably want to have a backup plan if you are determined to get into Law School.
