<p>We talked mostly about the lack of diversity on SSU’s campus. It was a thought-provoking night and I really enjoyed getting to meet some of my peers.</p>
<p>Now…I wait.</p>

<p>The verdict is in!</p>
<p>I applied for:</p>
<p>-Summer Orientation Leader: work at Summer Orientation and help the new freshmen with schedules, learning stuff about the school, etc. Mid-June through Mid-July.
-CSA: RA and all that entails.
-University 102 Peer Mentor: Get linked with a faculty member and help teach a “welcome to college” type class. Fall semester only.
-FIG Peer Mentor: Same as above, but with a more specialized group of people. I was in the FIG program freshman year.</p>

I was offered a Summer Orientation position.
I was offered 102 Peer Mentor.
I am an alternate for both CSA and FIG Peer Mentor…aka if someone is offered the spot and does not accept it, there’s a chance I may get it.</p>

<p>ZM…thank you! My mom and I had a nice cry (of good tears) over the phone together when I told her. I’m so excited to see both mom and dad next week! (They’re coming up to visit me for Spring Break.)</p>
