Academics:
I am from one of the best schools in New Delhi,India and it is very very competitive. We do not follow the American education system so I had to study for SATs, and APs myself, no AP courses. Also keep in mind that the Indian education system is much more rigorous at the high school level vis-a-vis the American high school system.
No GPA or school rank, we follow percentage system
I can only give you the SECTION rank where section is a subset of class. There are roughly 18 sections in each class comprising of 50 students each.
Class 10th- 94.3% Sec Rank-2
Class 11th- 88% Sec Rank-3 (Very tough year for everyone)
Class 12- Exams due, will work hard

Recs and Essays:
Will be very good hopefully, I am a good writer

THATS ALL ABOUT ME. LITERALLY. PLZ BE CANDID AND THEN I WILL CHANCE U BACK ALSO.

Well, your stats look great. If you were a domestic student, I would guess that you have an excellent chance of being admitted. However, since you are international, the UofC will not review your application need-blind. So I think the biggest question here is not if your stats are good enough, but, rather, can your family afford it? As well, internationals take up about 10% (I’m fudging the number here a little bit. It’s about this number at most private institutions). Which means that all the international students (China, India, France, UK, Italy, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Israel, etc) are all fighting for just about 120 spots in the class, whereas the domestic students are fighting for about 1100 spots. This will make it exceedingly harder on you. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news… but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
Good luck, however!

Actually, at UChicago the foreign students make up more like 5% of the class; though a larger percentage, I would imagine, are admitted and can’t come due to the financial aspect.

@-CS, you’re probably right about the statistics now that I come and think about it more. But the point is, that UofC is not need-blind for international students.

Two important things to remember:

“Not need blind” does not equal no chance if a foreign student has need. It means that admission for foreign students with financial need is very competitive, not impossible.

Notwithstanding her impressive resume, the OP’s chances at Chicago are actually terrible. That’s because – as we know from her other thread – Chicago is a very poor fit for her. Apart from these other issues, if she applied and presented herself the way she has on CC, she would probably be rejected, not because she’s a bad student or there’s anything else wrong with her, but completely because Chicago is not where she should be for college.
