<p>We used to have a wamsutta outlet not too far away and I was loyal to their elite sateen sheets–incredibly soft. My last set is almost threadbare after years of use and Wamsutta not only closed their outlets but stopped making these sheets. Usually when I think of sateen I think of sheets that are a little shiny and somewhat slippery but the ones I have are just really soft (and all cotton). Anyone have any suggestions soft sheets?</p>

<p>Spalena sheets were available at Costco for a short time last year and I bought a set for my son because he was looking for some soft sheets to replace the beech sheets that Bed Bath & Beyond used to carry. When I realized how nice the Spalena sheets were, I went back to buy some myself but they were no longer on display at Costco. I googled a bit and found a way to order them myself.</p>

<p>I highly recommend bamboo sheets. So soft, warm in winter and cool in summer. I bought mine years ago at Target - but now they are more expensive and harder to find.

<p>In the winter I lover Fleece Sheets. Aboslutely the softest and warmest sheets going.</p>
<p>How are your soft sheets holding up? I bought whatever sheets were highish, not top, thread count soft sheets at Target and they soon ripped through in several places. Crazy - never had that happen before. So the last two sets I have bought have been ‘organic cotton’ sheets, and they are much, much heavier, stiffer, so not silky soft like what you are looking for, but I think they will wear like iron. One set I got at Target, btw, and one at BBB on closeout.</p>
<p>I bought sheets from JCPenney about a year ago for my son’s bed. They are cotton/polyester percale and have a very smooth feel. I looked for them on their website, but not sure if they are the same ones. While searching jcp.com, I noticed they have several styles of Wamsutta sateen sheets. Maybe one of them would be similar to what they used to make.</p>
<p>I buy most of my sheets at Bed Bath & Beyond and like their selection. With the typical 20% off coupons you get in the mail, they are reasonably priced. (another way to get a coupon is signup for their emails).</p>
<p>Brands like Sferra, Frette, and Peacock Alley all have beautiful sheets with various textures. The prices are high, but they do wear extremely well. You can sometimes find these brands marked down (a bit) on Rue La La or other sites like that. Also check the Cuddledown and Garnet Hill websites–both sell very nice linens that aren’t as pricey as Frette and Sferra. Also, Cuddledown sells organic cotton sheets–I bought my D a set for her first apartment and she loves them because they’re so soft.</p>
<p>I really like the Lands End cotton sateen sheets. Very soft, wear well. Not terribly pricey.</p>

<p>Garnett Hill has great flannel sheets, but they also advertise some sateen ones on sale right now… never bought those, but never been the least bit disappointed with any sheets I’ve ever gotten from them:

<p>I have Sealy sheets <a href=“https://www.sealybedding.com/sheets[/url]”>https://www.sealybedding.com/sheets</a> , and they’re thick yet really soft. They’re well made, and the fitted sheet is generously sized and stays in place. (I got them on sale at JCPenney plus I had a coupon, so ended up half price.) I’d buy them again.</p>
<p>Having said that, I’ve gone to “satin” pillow cases (to reduce frizzy hair) year-round, and I use flannel sheets in the winter for cozy warmth. (“Smooth cotton” sheets are c.o.l.d. in the winter!)</p>
<p>There was a similar recent thread in which several posters beat me to it and recommended Costco’s sateen sheets (Kirkland brand) which are 600 tc. They are silky smooth, very soft, nice weight, wear beautifully, wash beautifully.</p>
<p>I am not a fan of sateen but I have been happy with the Kirkland sateen sheets. Durable and soft but not shiny.</p>
<p>Have loved the Ross’ sheets with high thread count and 100% cotton (be sure not to purchase microfiber, which is polyester & does NOT breathe). Brand names were never important. My SIL bought at same times I did and we both love our sheets which have lasted for many, many years, getting softer and softer over time. Have bought several sets this way. I think we bought 500 or higher thread count.</p>
<p>I, too, am looking for new sheets for a deep latex mattress. Bought some at KOHLS that had a unique corner design that really kept the bottom sheet in place. After one use though, it started to pill. Back they went. I hate to return things and didn’t pay the tag price of $119/queen but I knew it would only get worse. So many items today just “aren’t what they used to be.” So any ideas for brands to fit deep mattresses would be so appreciated.</p>
<p>I bought some Northern Nights all cotton sheets many years ago from overstock.com (back when overstock.com had some good deals!). They get better and better every wash. I know QVC carries Northern Nights - you might check their deals.</p>
<p>J. C. Penney has great flannel sheets. I can only use them when it is really cold (hot flashes and flannel don’t mix).</p>
<p>Some great suggestions here–will check them out and I’m sure I’ll end up with some great, soft sheets!</p>
