In state minority chances?

Do I have a shot?

3.28 GPA I know it’s low.

I am a Senior at Centerville HS

I worked all through HS, and carried 2 jobs in the summer

4x Varsity Letterman in wrestling, senior captain, league honors, district qualifier.

28 on my act

1290/1600 and 1840/2400 on SAT

I am a PSEO student (dual enrolled my senior year) i dont know if that will help.

My dad was born and raised in south america. So I am of Latin American decent.

My parents only have HS diplomas. I think they went to community college for a short period, but they have no kind of degrees or anything. So I’d be the first person in my family to attend college. I am not sure if that will help or not.

I did not list every class I took through HS, but I had a pretty tough rigor, couple of APs, and always took the accelerated classes.

Im sure I’m forgetting a couple of ECs.

I applied last week. My councilor sent in my transcripts on friday, so i think i applied fairly early.

You mean counselor (not counsilor - that is someone on a counsil… like advisors to the Governor)

Are you being recruited for wrestling?

Contact Office of Minority Affairs and talk to them. They are very helpful and want to increase the number of Latinos at Ohio State so see if you can get on their radar or at least invited to any events they may have for potential Ohio State Latino students.
Good Luck.

OSU is looking to increase enrollment of students who are the first in their families to attend college. It’s true your GPA is low, but you clearly worked hard throughout high school. I think your chances are good if your application properly represents you.
