<p>I know everyone has said that U of I never gives any aid so I was surprised today when my daughter, who is in-state, got about 6k in tuition grants and we are not pell eligible. So, I guess there is some hope out there. She got full tuition from Fordham( her first choice) so thats where she is going but I am sure she would have been happy at U of I also.</p>

<p>That is awesome news as Illinois did not give me anything and expects my parents to take out a $25,000 Parent Plus Loan.</p>
<p>I will most likely being going to Knox as they gave me nearly $35,000 in scholarship money-so i would pay around $10,000 a year to attend.</p>
