<p>has anyone ever chosen an ivy over an LAC or vice versa. Why? Are there any minority students on this board who faced such a situation…for the record, I am not facing such a dilemma at the moment. Please focus on the question.</p>

<p>The main considerations in such a choice are feel. I chose a larger university (Ivy) because I didn’t think that the LACs I looked at could provide me with the diversity and oppurtunities that I wanted.</p>
<p>some ivies are closer to LAC’s than you’d think (Brown, Dartmouth)… those schools usually overlap with LAC’s quite easily…</p>
<p>Well I chose an Ivy over an LAC since the only one I was choosing over was Wiliams, and I surely didn’t fit in there, much too isolated, and I definitely had a good feel for where I ended up.</p>
