Basically I want to know where you think the world is headed by 2020, and which industries most jobs will lie in, or which industries will experience a lot of growth.

Those are both good degrees that are sought after. CS is a good degree all around if you have the aptitude for it.
2020 is only four years from now. Things will probably be mostly the same - with technology and healthcare still rapidly growing industries and good places to plant yourself. Quantitative skills will always be in high demand but are even more so as the amount of data we generate increases. Cybersecurity is going to be important, too. International business - especially for people who can speak Chinese dialects or Hindi. Anyone with critical foreign language skills who can work in security will be in demand.
But the other thing is…who knows? In 2004 hardly anyone knew or thought that the housing market was going to collapse or that law and finance would become so bulldozed, so people were still recommending real estate, law, and finance as always-good, always lucrative careers.
