It’s all in and it’s now up to the admissions board to say yes or no!!

Does anybody know when they start sending information out to these kids?
If not selected to honors do these kids go back in the pool or is it a done deal?

According to site, admission decisions begin Dec 16 for USC applicants who meet the early deadlines. The last date to know about honors is February 22 although we found out about that earlier - it is two separate decisions. USC comes first (technically EA students can be deferred to RD but that’s probably not going to happen with anyone who is qualified to apply for honors IMO), then honors. If don’t make honors, there’s a good chance you will be considered for Capstone scholars.

I have several OOS friends whose children applied honors, but were admitted Capstone scholars. The students took the offer and were happy with the program and its activities. All the best!

There are two rounds of Honors notifications. The first one is typically around Christmas Eve and the second one is late February/early March. If you get notified on Christmas Eve, you can assume you are still in the running for McNair/Carolina Scholarships.

Are transfer students notified about admissions decisions the same time that freshman students are notified? If so, is this in December as well?
