I attend an extremely competitive college prep school. I have gotten recruited for track by many division II schools and division I school. I have made all A’s except 1 B (that was 2/10 of a point away from an A) . I took all regular classes my freshman sophmore year. I am taking Spanish III,Religion, anatomy, physcology AP,English III, Algebra II, Chemistry Honors and athletic PE right now. I am a third generation legacy at a very prestigious college.I am known to be very outgoing. I am a girl who partied a lot in highschool, liked by my classmates, was a member of student council, a member of homecoming court, a recruited athlete and I am considered to be “pretty” at my school. Basically, I work hard and play hard. College tuition is not a concern as I am in the 650k+ income bracket so that is not an issue. What college do you think I will fit in best? I am in no way trying to brag or sound “full of myself”. I would like your opinion on where I would fit in best.

lol you being “pretty” does not impact your college decision at all.

It sounds like your legacy school is one of the main options. Also without your SAT, exact GPA, and ECs, it’s hard for anyone to recommend you a school.

Belonging at a school is about your academic passions and abilities. Every school has pretty people, parties, and student council. You sound outgoing, so maybe a large-school environment would be a good fit. You don’t have many honors classes, but that’s probably because you go to prep school.

What are your interests? Maybe you like research-driven state schools. Or close-knit, competitive liberal arts schools. Chemistry? History? Do you have an idea of what you want to major in. Decide which direction you want to pursue academically. Talk to your guidance counselor about schools that fit your transcript and test scores. Go on tours to get a feel for each school. Since you’re a recruited athlete, contact coaches if you’re interested in competing in college.

Good luck!
