Incoming Junior needs some experts' advices

Hello! My name is Veronica and I am going to be a junior in this september!
I have taken my first sat in june and got a 1370 and 18 on the essay. I am obviously going to retake it and tried to score at least mid 1400’s and hopefully high 1400’s or low 1500’s. I am a girl who wants to major in environmental science/ engineering or computer science. I have taken one AP course and it was ap calc ab (got a 5). my freshman gpa was 3.9 and my sophomore gpa was 4.1. This is my extra curricular activities:

  • current chem club president/ organizer of njsl
  • went to nymc (ny math circle at nyu)
  • founder of LiNK (liberty in north korea)
  • member of midnight run (monthly event that gives me around 7 volunteering hours) - probably will become the president
  • internship at columbia university (lamont-doherty center)
  • volunteer at LSC (100+ hours)
  • volunteer at Milal (helps out the children w disabilities and gives presidential awards for volunteering hours)
  • volunteer at my town’s senior center (teaching computer)
  • won a grant for my school to get water bottle filler
  • taking online computer courses on educere and edX
  • have at least 250 volunteering hours
  • won many awards for national french contest

I will be taking ap computer science a, ap chem, and ap stat at school and will be studying ap calc bc on my own.
I am just wondering what areas I need to improve in, in order for me to apply to good engineering schools like CMU, Cornell, UCs, Cooper Union, UIUC, and schools like these. Thank you!
