I want to emphasize how i had a hard time getting used to the language and all and was still kind of successful in the end. Is there some topic you guys can help me with.
Do i even have a chance at those schools? I think my essay is the deciding factor and i really need help making it strong.
Any help will be great
thankss

You don’t have any real safeties. NYU might be a match. This list needs to be revised. All of them are mostly reaches and some matches but not very comfortable matches.

Northwestern HPME is very very selective, almost as selective as Yale or Harvard.

Are you male or female?

MIT, did you get any counselling before you applied to colleges? If you want to go to a college, any college, you should have some safeties. Blanketing the Ivies and reach schools and programs with applications is not going to get you in.

If you want 7-year or 8-year medical programs and want to become a doctor, have you looked at Penn State’s 7-year medical program, or TCNJ’s 7- (or 8?, I don’t know) medical program?

And what is your class rank/gpa, weighted as well as unweighted?

oh sorry… my safeties are RPI and StonyBrook

I recieved the gold medal for RPI

Achat: I know 7 year is hard to get into but i’m just going to give it a shot.

My rank is 2/135 GPA is 3.8 unweighted … my school grades harder comparatively.

Am i really that far behind others?

What gold medal? Did you get the Rensaellaer medal like someone else’s son here? Are you admitted already to RPI and Stony Brook?

Also, you haven’t answered the question about your gpa/class rank and male or female.

But seriously, if you want to become a doctor and want the 7year or 6-year joint programs, you should target some other schools as well such as Penn State.

No, then you aren’t far behind if your rank is 2nd in class. You could give these a shot.

U of Miami, too. You could get merit scholarship

Well, i guess now its too late
I’m an asian male
GPA: 3.8 unweighted

The RPI medal gives me $60,000 scholarship to their school.
I need help with essay though!

Aha…you can send me an email (through my profile). I can try…but remember, I’m not that experienced or anything, just trying to be helpful for what it’s worth. I’ll reply tomorrow morning.
