I took the May 2014 SAT and I have recently received the full score report. I am happy with my score EXCEPT the score report says I omitted ALL of the questions in one of the sections. It was the Improving Paragraphs section. I know it is not possible that I omitted all of the questions because that would mean I just sat there and did nothing for the entire amount of time dedicated to the said section. I am not sure if I am just misunderstanding the score report or if it is an error. I do not know if I should get my SAT re-scored because I am nervous of getting a lower score. What do you guys think?

Someone please answer!

There is no time dedicated to Improving Paragraphs; it’s a type of question within the Writing section. I’d contact CollegeBoard about it and ask them to re-score if you legitimately believe you didn’t just skip over all the questions of a certain type- and, instead of sitting there and doing nothing, just moved on to the next question/question type.

Errors in scoring do happen, though. If you answered those questions- even if you guessed- odds are that it won’t hurt you to get them re-scored.

That is one type of question. The sections aren’t all of one type of question, they are scattered throughout the test. It is entirely possible that you did skip all of the questions, but I highly doubt it. You should probably see if you can get it hand scored.

Like the other answers said - Improving Paragraphs is a type of question within a section; they are scattered throughout the test. You could’ve skipped all of them if you find that type particularly difficult or time consuming and thought it’d be better to use your time for other questions.

The improving paragraphs questions are always the last page of a particular CR section, so its possible you simply skipped that page inadvertently.
