I found out that I put in the wrong social security number in my college application when I was filling it out my fafsa form. When I call the college and tell my situation, will they revoke my acceptance to that college? Because if they do… I won’t be in college in the fall. And I got into the program I wanted, nursing…
No chance of being revoked. Just call them ASAP
Don’t worry too much, I did the same. Definitely call ASAP.
"will they revoke my acceptance to that college? "
For what reason? Do you think this equates to some fraud? You’re the source of 4+ years of tuition and fees, hopefully granting you a diploma to be a loyal alumnus/alumna in the future. They’ll be more than happy to correct your records.
Just call, apologize for the error, and correct ASAP.
They’ll only revoke your admission if you don’t call them at all. A wrong SS number isn’t ground for being rescinded. Failing most, if not, all of your senior grades, getting arrested, or calling up a college and directly telling them you do not want to attend are grounds for admissions being revoked (at least in everywhere except california).
