So I am currently a freshmen at SUNY Buffalo State. I have decided that I want to transfer for the Spring semester. With my first round of test I actually did really good, getting 98s+ on all of them and it honestly seems like this trend will continue. I am hopefully going to land a 4.0 for this semester, now will this help me with my transfer applications? I had a 1750 SAT and 3.3 unweighted, 4.0 weighted high school GPA. With this new, better grade should I think about to applying to some harder schools? Not really sure how much of an impact my grades will have.
Your grades at SUNY Buffalo will have almost no impact on an application for spring transfer during your freshman year because the final grades won’t be available until shortly before you would need to begin classes. Your high school grades will be more important.
Unless you are so miserable there that you just want out right now, stay put for two semesters so that you do have some college grades to show on your transfer application.
