Increasing my scores

So here is the thing. I am an international student from Delhi, India and just at the verge of completing junior year. This last year has been literally phenomenal for me. I came fourth in a national essay competition in which more than a thousand schools participated. I came in the top five of another Science Competition in which more than a hundred schools participated nationwide. I am in the top 1% of my school and have topped in three subjects. Along with that I’m a council member and have started a science club. I do know how to play a couple of instruments and I was in my previous school’s band. also I’m th editor of the school’s magazine.

I do apologise for digressing before coming to the core topic but here is the catch. After practising SAT for one month and giving 15 tests(blue book and online course) (out of which my average was 2150) I gave the SAT on January 2015. The results were horrendous.
570 CR
800 M
620 W
One thing I observed was the I omitted no questions in CR or Writing. Also my time management was a debacle. I’m giving my SAT again in June which leaves me with 3 months for rigorous preparations. After endeavoring on Co curriculars and acedemics for a year I don’t want to succumb to such an appalling score. I want to know about each and every step by which I can hover my scores above 2300. Even if it takes regular 3 hours practice I’ll do it. Just enlighten me with the techniques and I’ll ascretain that I get to the top 99th percentile.

Critical reading is something that I think you just need to practice reading/comprehending passages quickly and being able to interpret them. It’s something that’ll come with practice. For writing, make sure you know the grammar rules and vocabulary. You’ll probably be able to find some vocabulary sets on Quizlet to practice and basic grammar rules in any prep book. Also, make sure that after each practice test you review the types of questions that you missed to see what you specifically need to work on. For time management, also try bubbling in your answers only after you complete a page. That’s what I do and I think it saves time.

Thanks a lot…and one more thing…
Im also planning to give my ACT and since it contains Science it would be easy for me to score a 34-35…
Should i just stick to SAT or give my ACT too?

Definitely give the ACT a shot. For SAT writing, I highly recommend The Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar by Erica L. Meltzer. I was getting consistent ~700s in writing on my diags, but with that book and plenty of practice, I ended up getting an 800 on the actual test.
