Hey, I got a teacher recommendation from my 10th grade English teacher who I did an independent study in philosophy with him. When he agreed to write a recommendation for me, he put himself down as “Other” on the form and not “English”. I am wondering if this will hurt me because colleges allegedly want teacher recommendations from the “core” subjects. Is this a serious issue? Thanks for the input I already have my other recommendation from my 11th grade physics teacher.

I don’t think it will really matter. I got accepted to two colleges and I sent in recommendations from my 11th/12th (current) English teacher and my 10th/11th/12th grade art teacher.
