<p>There is a fin aid appeal committe. In my case, on my appeal to a LOC, they raised the fin aid by 5k, though it is still beyond my reach.
You never know, no harm appealing- draft a long passionate letter mentioning Wooster your FIRST CHOICE and follow-up with an e-mail/phone call. I am told the appeal should be made in the name of your parents(it seems, that works) for better attention.</p>

<p>astrix, tell me ask you something…when you take a yr off and when you apply ED next yr, how sure are you that you will get accepted to Swarth or any others that you got rejected to? Aren’t you taking a risk of waisting 1 yr ?</p>
