Hey Hello, if you are thinking about the common app and good engineering schools; consider RIT( Rochester Insititute of Technology). And it does hand out scholarships to international students.

hello, did you apply to Georgia Tech then?

i could preview the pton and yale supplements but not the harvard one.

Those having common app problems, just have a coffee and give it another try later. It’s probably just the last minute rush…

yes

random question: How many essays are left for you ppl??
me: 2 long ones and 4 short ones (including why swat)

two for me. VERY long ones.

i dont count short ones. ALL my short essays turn into long ones. :D

Well i gotta study for CBSE ;)

yo Astrix, check your PM

Hello,
Any idea, how is Georgia Tech? I have heard some bad reviews…
btw, did you apply for presidential scholarship or regular?

I’m mostly recycling my essays… so nothing left for me…

gatech is pretty good…but the place is OLD in the sense that its kinda depressing. Not cheerful like Penn, exotic like Princeton, massive and diverse like Cornell. Its just THERE…like a blob…a blob that’s a state school wanting to be an Ivy league…education is GOOD there but its just dull as hell…People will alway say “gatech grad? cool…its a pretty okay place” unlike if ur MIT where they say, “wow! how the hell did u get in?” but still…its a “good” place. Im serious. Im applying there too

presidential isnt for intls!
I’ve heard bad reviews abt social life too, but academics is top notch, so I dont mind.

oh sorry I forgot that pres. scholarship isnt for intls…

also applied to gatech as a safety - but not too thrilled about atlanta for the obvious reasons

go adides! tulane 4eva!!!
anyway, aap sab ne dekha? dusre log jal rahe hai kyu ki hum hindi mein baat kar rahe hai…dekhiye na kitne bhaasha vaali thread bana rahe hai…:p

haha…nice LAgal…!!.

Hi guys I found some interesting desi clubs in us colleges. http://www.going2usa.com/education/ISA.html#addresses

LAgal - u going 2 tulane? god bless u - i went their for mardigras earlier this year and i am still recovering (not joking at all) new orleans is an evil evil place, but lots of fun
I love cajun food, too bad cant get it in india :(

sbi - u’ll desi clubs in each and every US college. What i am told (by very reliable sources) is that you want to be careful about whom you associate with. What I mean by that is there is a chain of desi clubs in the US, which is funded by political parties to further their radical cause. Also, some clubs are clickish in nature, etc… - just what i was told

adides…not sure about tulane…i love tulane, and i have friends in new orleans…strange enough, i’ve never been there during mardi gras, but i’ve heard stories and will go one day
don’t know about cajun food…i’m a vegetarian, so i don’t eat crawfish or any of the other “specialties” of my own state…kinda sad, ain’t it? :p

i hear you! i used to be a vegi as well (jain vegi…) but couldnt stand to be the only vegi guy in the family. i know tht feelin

i m hopin to go to mardigras again in 2006, when i will be in the US and in my freshman year. But, this time i am going to plan in advance…not too comfy sleepin in a tulane’s frat house :D

i’m veg. too…i used to eat chicken but gave up 2 years ago…it was tempting earlier but now i feel good about resisting it…!!

me a veggie too…in korea…where everybody goes around popping in small shrimps in their mouth as if they were peanuts. the first day i got to this place i threw up in a trash can in the airport. i guess its also a prob managing in the U.S unis with food if ur so far from home.
