I come from the Bay Area, and Tamil and south indians rule here lol. We have a friendly rivalry with the north Indians and punjabis.

They have a punjabi gangster gang association LOLOLOL!! They fight with the mexican gangs around here.

My favorite Russell Peters is Indians versus Chinese. It’s totally racist towards both sides, but that’s what’s so funny about it :D. I love making fun of my culture while still abiding to it’s principles lol.

“haha, do you think indian culture is cool, all my nonindian friends think of bollywood when they think of indian people or curry. haha”

Yeah my friends do that too haha. They also think that eating fast food Tex-Mex is an adventure. My area is all white, yet 15 minutes away in the next high school there are so many Indians lol.

frequently posting, Quantum? ok right you win. and stalking? uh no.

"Are any Indians involved in an interracial relationship? "

I’m not involved in an interracial relationship but my ex was punjabi and not everyone i knew was actually too impressed with it. (i’m gujarati). i don’t see what’s really wrong with an interracial relationship though. I personally haven’t had the guts to go out with someone different from my racial status mainly because of my parents. but it differs with everyone, i’d say go for it. love shouldn’t be defined by someone’s racial status imo.

haha i second desi on this one. Quantum, i’m a guy too but it seems like you need some help on relationship skills.

^^
No problem…When “The One” will come in your life even your parents wont be able to scare you off!!!
Well nice to see you all.

^^For the record, I’ve had 5 girlfriends, been on like 30 dates…most have ended badly, and I just can’t find a good girl…I’m a long serious relationship type person. I don’t want to deal with this problem in the future because it sucks!
Don’t give me crap about “you need help on relatioshipss durr” because clearly I don’t.
So get off my back.

@desi_chick: hahah I totally know what you mean about the gujurati and punjabi thing. So do your parents know about that?

Well you see Mr Quantum…i think that you haven’t yet dated “Your One”…and the day when you will…you’ll be the happiest being on Earth!! :)

If you’re trying to find “The One,” now might not be the right time. If you’re in high school I doubt anyone will want to be in a serious relationship. Your one is probably out there, but you’re just looking at the wrong time or place.

Ok changing the subject (sorry if you’re OCD about double posting)

Are any of you completely vegetarian (no white meat or fish, but not vegan)? My friends think it’s cool for some reason lol

^I’m completely vegetarian. No meat, but yes eggs though. I like cakes and milk :]
Its THE PERFECT conversation topic starter! Everytime I’m sitting with new people in the dining table, I just bring up I’m vegetarian, and they all freak out lolol.

LOL about trying to find “The One.” Feels like I’m Morpheus in the Matrix, trying to find “The One.”

@desi_chick: hahah I totally know what you mean about the gujurati and punjabi thing. So do your parents know about that?

lol no thank god. Our relationship ended a while ago but he wasn’t that worth it. And yeah i agree with Phoenix, You’ll probably find your “one and only” in college. hs relationships are just not worth it.

@Drexler: I’m a vegetarian (no eggs no meat no fish) and my friends can’t believe it…they think its really hard but w/e. Vegetarians ftw.

I am a not a vegetarian, i eat meat, cheeseburger is the best but respect my culture

HI FELLOW NDNs!! :D

Is there anyone else out there who can’t speak Punjabi, Hindi, etc. fluently? I feel awful when I’m talking to relatives because I haven’t maintained fluency. So the extent of our conversations is limited to: Hi - How are you? - Good, and you? - Good… I mean, I can understand Punjabi pretty well, I just can’t speak it very well…

oh and lol, one time I accidentally responsed to my auntyji in Spanish (“si”) instead of Punjabi (“haanji”). rofl I was incredibly embarassed.
