akash:

who said that princeton does not want you to send anything else but the reply card. i am sure they consider letters of ‘active and undying devotion to princeton’ more than appropriate. in fact if u dont send one, you will be considered ‘uninterested’. your info does not seem to be right. i think whoever gave you that info, that someone is playing a prank on you.
send one and your chances will go from zero to the upper stratosphere

hey… it IS starred… how did you see it uncensored?!

and btw adi, akash told me that ritz was the one who was ‘shooed away’ by their GC :p

i did not see it uncensored…i was just confirming…that - it was the word that you were addressing such by…:p

ritz got shooed away by their GC  she should go back to tht GC and ask him/her to kiss her *** now tht she is going to harvard…

oh in the latest development…7 ppl from india got into pton this year…we know of 3, i know the name of 1 and 3 are unknown…

adides, sucharita, prateek.

who’s the fourth?

cant give out her name on public forum, but its a girl with initial A. S. (please no comments on the initials…lets grow up) dont know the city as yet…but i have a strong feeling that it is going to be chennai or banglore

actually, i dont understand what “comment” anyone can spit out about those initials… …

well than i would say that you dont have a perverted mind as many other ppl over here… (i m back…cant keep the 1000 posts forever)…
A.S. = a s s

which schools in america give the best aid to internationals… my cousin in india is looking to come here possibly. he wants to go to a prestigious school for the smallest cost.

does anyone know if pton acceptees this year were one each from the major indian metropolis cities: one from delhi, one from mumbai, one from kolkatta, one from chennai…etc?

wasn’t there another girl from prateek’s school accepted to pton?

ok Im back after my nights sleep(slept at 8  )

“does anyone know if pton acceptees this year were one each from the major indian metropolis cities: one from delhi, one from mumbai, one from kolkatta, one from chennai…etc?”

it cud be.generally the rule of the thumb is that mumbai gets twice the acceptances that delhi gets…also u might also what to factor in some Indian nationals who are not yet permanent residents but still living in the US.

“Wasn’t there another girl from prateek’s school accepted to pton?”
Not to my knowledge…but since my knowledge of the acceptees is quite outdated…perhaps there might be…Anyway, how do you know this, whoever you are?

and yes, according to Ritz, she was told by our dear ******* of a GC that she had no chance at any Ivy coz of her lack of any school appointment. The other girl who got the Harvard likely letter was also shooed away initially.
(And so was I,with good reason too  )

well, 90% of the admitted students are from the metros

from what Ive seen, generally theres always an acceptee from jamshedpur,at any and every top university

kams-generally every top prestigious university-with the notable exception of CMU and Cornell give aid to the topmost international candidates, but for getting in with aid is very very competitive.one has to compete with stupendous candidates like Adides,Ritz and Sucharita-so its quite tough

“stupendous candidates like Adides…”

akash…if there wasnt any taunt involved in the sentence…thts like the nicest thing (or maybe the only nicest thing) ne1 has said about me on cc :)

what a difference an acceptance make…before this past monday…i was like an average applicant…now ^

i think Pune gets a lot of acceptees as well…
bbay # are misleading coz a lot of acceptees from bbay are either
a. not applying for fin aid
b. are US citizen or residents

for example, all the ppl i know - the girl going to MIT is a US citizen, UPenn - US resident, Columbia - US resident, a lot of others - did not apply for fin aid… so they are playing a whole different ball game than the ‘usual applicants’

adides, i can testify to that.

and by the above i’m not implying that you were ‘average’, but i’m referring to the general sentiment of the TiT crowd…

Amity university ?

which one? the one right next to our campus in noida:p? or the one in delhi?

lol its so good to have a business school right next to your school ( well we were neighbours without fences:)) . We used to use their canteens, libraries and computers for games all the time even thought wernt allowed to and spent time watching college chicks ( sad i know but hey it was 4 years back!)

anyway I found out from a fellow amitian that amity universities were being discredited ( like ABET here) becuase of some fraud case by its dear founder atul chauhan. Man i miss those were the good old days when we used to heckle him on his birthday celebrations in HIS school:p

If the story abt the accredition is untrue then amity is supposed to be a good place for business econ etc ( good connections with lots companies and all)
