<p>Weird…</p>

<p>So i am checking my emails ( like 8 accounts lol ) and am on yahoo right now. Then as i normally do i click on empty bulk mail folder then check my inbox, delete offers from cicuit city, fabmall and mails from espnstar and nba.com then there’s this weird email which is titled engineering…</p>

<p>so i open it and what do i see? A congratulation email from the University of Waterloo for gaining admission to their " Highly Acclaimed " COmputer engineering Co-op program. Wait everyone knows about Waterloo right? ( the one in canada?) </p>

<p>so life has already played a cruel joke on me in the form of Johns Hopkins and I think it just decided to play another. I have already paid my deposit to IIT ( yeah i chose it over Johns Hopkins :eek: ) and now this. And waterloo wants me to pay a monstrous sum too( i may be able to afford but that’s a HUGE maybe) . Perhaps it will become a lot better when university of Arizona gives me a half tuition scholarship- net expense per year = 13K $ ( i am awaiting that, had to pay deposit to IIT as their last date is may 1) .Then ill have more things to ponder upon ( i am 100 % sure i am going to regret not doing something 2 years from now) . </p>

<p>so there’s my day, after a gruelling 3.5 hour history exam I get this email, how am i supposed to react ? HOW HOW HOW ? :(</p>

<p>Merc what can i do ? :frowning: It’s not like they are giving financial aid, they are giving me the maximum scholarship which is like 5000 dollars a year. and thats it -_-)</p>

<p>Gah even if i can go there do i want to spend 4 years in Freakishly cold weather at a engineering dominant school in Canada. Chennai Banglore Chandigarh Secunderabad Faridabad Delhi Phoenix ( my journey till now) => Ontario canada , figured the odd one yet ? lol moving from a 100 F temperature to -50 F would be crazy !!</p>

<p>hmmmmm… im fine if financially disadvantaged students get a boost. what ****es me off is when people get in thru various quota’s because of what caste they are- regardless of wheher they are rich/poor</p>

<p>My friend, the truth sometimes has two sides, like that of a coin, that may seemingly appear contradictory to most.
The population is a problem as long as India fails to figure out how to tap the immense potential of it. Look at many countries like US, Russia, UAE, etc. which are really trying to raise their population so as to tap into the higher creative and productive potential.
India’s failure to tap into that potential has caused the population to be a problem rather than a solution. Once we figure out how to, we will have one of the largest workforce pool in the planet. Until then, you will stand more right!</p>
