<p>yash, assume that the axis of rotation is at a distance x from one of the stars. assume angular velocity of both to be equal to w. find the required CPF for both the stars, equate it to the grav force experienced. solve for x. i think w cancels out somewhere. you get x=dist from star to com. </p>

<p>accordin 2 my teacher … we can also evaluate the angular velocity of the stars as a ratio to earth average angular velocity (which is part 2) n ur asked to prove that the ratio is 33 : 4 (i’ll have to check the number when my sis/parents comes back from work… </p>
