I’m not ‘dropping the ball’ either, just that it makes no sense doing it right now. Neither will it make any sense later, if I get rejected from everywhere.

adides as merc said its pointless to do anything about that book until we get to hear from everywhere, Sucess stories are better to read than failures :(

Who is Sonia Gandhi to declare that anyway? She isnt in the government (if she is, i dont know what her portfolio is) Shes a goddamn leader of a political party!

Well, i guess parliament is becoming irrelevant anyway

As I’ve said before, Narayan Murthy’s son couldn’t get into IIT and used Cornell as a safety. If you’re a Princeton/Harvard candidate, as such and astrix are, Cornell is a safety for you (esp if you don’t need aid, like Murthy’s son).

And Shashank - I was just writing a blog entry about the reservation thing… sad, eh? :(

Technically, you become a Princeton/Harvard candidate just by applying to those places. I have applied to both, been deferred by one and will, in all probability be rejected by both in another 3 weeks. Would Cornell still be a safety for me? Somehow, I think not.
