One post on the IU Reddit said, “The IU admission will be today. Each school will have more information come out in a few days. So if you do not get your Kelley decision today don’t fret, that response is coming soon”. Essentially, Kelley (and the other schools at IU) will reach out separately with more specific program information. So if your acceptance letter says “pre-business”, they will send more information about what that entails. But like others have shared, the A- requirements are already up on the Kelley website! My guess based on the Reddit is that your IU admissions letter will say specifically if you are a direct admit today (or waitlist to DA or pre-business), and then Kelley will follow up later with more information.

applied direct to Kelley and accepted pre-business with a link in portal to remain on the waitlist for Kelley with final decision coming by April 17. It’s definitely confusing because it says admitted pre-business.
Did your letter say that you were put on the direct admission waitlist?
It asked to check a box to be put on the kelley direct admit waitlist and said a decision either way would come by April 17 (presumably so you have that info before May 1 deposits)

I don’t read this as an A- requirement. Doesn’t this mean you can’t get more than 3 grades below an A-?
The website says you can’t switch to Kelley if you have “Three (3) or more of the following:

Yeah so they do both automatic and comprehensive admission for pre-bus students:
Automatic admission
Students whose records indicate grades of A- or better in every IU Bloomington course on the first attempt will be automatically admitted.
Comprehensive review
Students whose records indicate any of the following will have their applications comprehensively reviewed by the Kelley Admissions Committee. The admissions committee reviews grades in all IU Bloomington courses, not just business courses. A student with any of the following risk factors is in jeopardy of their standard admission application being denied.

Any grade below an A- (B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D-, or F) in an IU Bloomington course.

Withdrawals (W’s), X’s ( X grade replacement policy), or unresolved incompletes (I’s)
Students whose records indicate two unsuccessful attempts to complete a single I-Core prerequisite, including grades below a C, withdrawals (W’s), incompletes (I’s), and X grades, will have their applications automatically denied.

did anyone actually get notification of getting Direct Admit to Kelley
The ADA (Automatic Direct Admissions) path is gone - it was a combo of GPA and ACT or SAT score minimum thresholds and you were -automatically- admitted without really reviewing the rest of your application. This is the first year without ADA.
The DA (Direct Admission) process is a holistic review of your application - if you receive a DA, then as long as you do normal progression in classes, you are Directly Admitted and stay in the B-School. If you are not DA, but rather ‘pre-business’ it is as NYRB states… you have to take all of the prerequisite courses and maintain a GPA minimum with no class under a B(+) for you admission on application, if you don’t meet those criteria, I believe you can still apply, but your pathway into the B-school is not guaranteed:
