Indiana University Bloomington Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

My daughter is OOS (North Carolina).

What does it mean if it says “Thank you for completing the Kelley Prospect Inventory form to be considered for direct admission to the Kelley School. You will be notified by the Kelley School of Business of a decision. Please visit the Kelley website for more information.”

yea I got that and I’m so confused. You don’t have a waitlist form right?

Daughter still waiting. Applied for pre-business. Amyone else? It is almost 6 PM in Indiana.

Anyone still waiting like us??

Yes still waiting

No I dont. Does that mean we are pre-business?

Daughter Kelley DA but deferred from Purdue. I’m surprised it isn’t the other way around.

My son direct admit but also applied to Kenan-Flager. Would love to know your thoughts about the two schools and their differences/similarities.

maybe? the whole notified by Kelley thing is weird wording.

like genuinely what is ts.

Ok, No correspondence at all? Portal still says application complete.

Yeah I think they just mean they considered us for DA and will send more info later like about the pre-business A- thing

has any “EXPLORATORY” majors been accepted to IU yet?

My son just got direct admit to Kelley out of state student. I don’t know his stats offhand. I didn’t believe it at first, so I had him send me a screenshot because he was not home after reading how confusing it all sounded with the admissions notifications.

OOS Admitted
Major: Pre-Business with intended major of Business Exploratory
GPA: Weighted 4.34
SAT: 1510
Top ECs

I just had a thought. This is kinda crazy and very delusional. but maybe they just didn’t have time to review some applications and knew we were pre business worthy and are still checking? maybe we have until april 17th to know.

We can’t conclude that we were rejected from kelley just yet because it still says we will recieve a decision from kelley. And as of rn we haven’t recieved anything. so all these admitted people are in. maybe we are a different wave of applicants
.

But then wouldn’t they say pre-business with the waitlist option

hopefully. getting rid of auto DA, especially in August, after that being the norm for years was a dumb decision

My son is a freshman DA at Kelley now. He was also accepted to UNC and liked it a lot.

What made him select Kelley is that the business experience starts from Day 1. He wanted that over the UNC experience where most kids are first applying to Keenan Flagler after being there for a while.

Both are great schools but my kid is very happy with his decision to go to Kelley.
