We got the holiday email and a separate email to set up an IU Computing account. I’m assuming others got that IU Computing account email too?

My daughter got it too - received that email on 12/7.

Unfortunately, no. I guess nothing in December this year…
So does everyone have the 'set up IU computing account’ on their portal now?
My DS does.
We had that from day 1.

I called admissions yesterday and they said that Kelly decisions are unlikely to come out before 15 January
What about general acceptances at university level?
They said those are officially rolling. But anyone who applied to Kellye won’t hear from either the university or Kellye until the 15th or close to it.
Called a week or so ago and was told all decisions were being released on Jan 15. Sounds like others might have received different responses.
Do we have to set this up? or can you wait to see if you child was accepted? Is is a negative if you don’t set it up?
This is where you will see your acceptance and any merit award letters. My kid just checked her portal daily during the window for her admission decision. You can also make sure all of your required documents are complete and submitted. Some people last year had to have their school submit transcripts again.
It can be a negative at some schools if a student doesn’t set up their portal in a timely manner. I don’t know if IU looks at that though.
Regardless, I would set that up, in case there are missing app materials, or important communications, including ultimately the admission decision in Jan.
My son did set up his IU portal immediately and completed the Kelley Prospect Inventory (KPI), but was curious if anyone set up their own IU email account yet. I know some do it, but in my head, I am like, why if you don’t know you are accepted yet? But I wanted to make sure that wasn’t a negative.
