I truly hope we don’t have to now wait a few weeks as my daughter is really upset and convinced she was denied Kelley even though that makes zero sense since she did everything necessary to be DA and met all requirements. I agree it’s the big public school admin and they won’t really be jumping all over this. We will see!
Did you get a separate invite for SSA or was it a result of you completing the general scholarship application?
It won’t help ease feelings but Kelley will in fact formally deny you if that was the case. There is simply no trigger for Kelley to look at the stats if you were already admitted by the University and Kelley at the time either by error or by application did not see your auto-stats. A human would have to send a special request or you can do the petition and either would accomplish the same thing.
Review is a trigger - it’s not a full holistic evaluation if it’s not needed. It tells Kelley to look at the application. It may not take 6 weeks or 12 weeks, it may take 1 day.
As hard as these issues can be they are real world adult lessons that sometimes errors happen and you have to work through process on your own to achieve results. The more the kids do that now the better they will achieve in college on their own.

a result of me completing the gsa. but, i already started other recommended applications and was wondering if i could use the essay i wrote for the gsa on those. i have a different essay for ssa.
Thank you! I totally agree, but my daughter is tough to reason with on this one. It will definitely be a life lesson one way or another. I’m confident she will get in…and hopeful her email might trigger it to happen sooner. Fingers crossed.
DS just got accepted for Business Undergraduate into Marketing BSB, applied on 10/28, accepted on 12/4. Super excited!

Congrats!! What did the email say? My DS got accepted today for business undergraduate into finance BSB, applied on 10/22 but the email does not refer to the Kelley.
Sorry not the email but the details section of the portal. Still have not received the email.

Very happy for you. We applied on 10/21 for marketing as well but still haven’t heard. I know everyone is saying be patient but I can’t help but think it is bad news. D24 is not a direct admit to Kelley even though she meets the GPA and test score threshold due to switching high schools. I guess we will prepare for the worst and keep our fingers crossed. I honestly can’t explain why the delay. We just want to know one way or the other so we can move on.
D24 domestic OOS hasn’t heard yet either. Her test scores and GPA are right in there. I would be shocked if she wasn’t admitted, but we would have heard by now so our hopes have faded.
My daughter applied around 10/21 and hasn’t heard either. She should be direct admit to Kelley based on stats. Seeing all these acceptances is making me nervous too but I keep telling myself that’s not rational.
It’s not rational is the right answer. It’s not Kelley, it is the University. Let’s say an AO decided to leave their job, maybe is sick, maybe had a planned vacation, maybe Mom slipped and needed 3 days of care, maybe it’s 10,000 applications and randomly yours was assigned number 9,000.
There are a million possible reasons and bad news is simply not one of them. It’s December 4th and not January 15th is the only reason.

Agree - not rational!! If you have the stats please be patient or perhaps stop following this thread? Those who have to petition will need even more patience so you are lucky not to be in that situation. Overall IU admission decisions come out much earlier than other comparable business schools (UIUC/Wis).
