Indiana University - Bloomington Early Action for Fall 2024 Admission

Interesting

they said they applied back in august 2023 and heard back the last week of november or 1st of dec and they were not autoadmits they had to petition.

My son recently heard he got into Kelley after originally hearing he was accepted to university pre-business. However, it wasn’t a pure petition. We went to file the petition and the system wouldn’t let us, so we emailed Kelley only to have them tell us he would be a Direct Admit and a petition wasn’t necessary. His situation involved stats that met the criteria but he attended two high schools. Just FYI, and I know it’s not the same as was others are waiting on. Good luck to all.

Thank you both

Joining those of you still waiting. I’ve read about 75% of the posts and my head is spinning. Seriously confused about scholarship opportunities. We’re almost there!

Student applied 10/25 for Luddy.

Still shows as follows:

Program:
University Div Pre-Informatics

Plan:
Intelligent Sys Engineering BS

OOS
ACT 34
GPA 4.0/4.7
3 AP
91 credit hours dual enrollment

Here’s hoping! Best wishes to all hopefuls.

has anyone been rejected or deferred from iu?

Daughter applied on 10/21 and still hasn’t heard. We will see if the 1/15 date holds for EA. At this point we’ve just written off IU. Maybe she got lost in the shuffle. Her stats are good enough for DA to Kelley but because she had two high schools she doesn’t qualify for DA. I could call the admissions office but her counselor isn’t responsive and she has sent multiple emails. I’ll see if she is up for calling this afternoon.

Why would you write them off? Because they didn’t send a response weeks before when they said they would send a response? Lots of lots of people haven’t heard. The notification date is a week from today. If they miss that - which they won’t - then you have every right to be annoyed. But, it seems a little odd for the school to draw your ire when they haven’t missed a thing and have done everything that they published and said they would so.

My kid is waiting on a response too - applied in October - but I’ll wait to freak out.

You bring some good perspective
thanks. I just come from a place where I don’t think it is respectful to ignore prospective students. It’s not a good look. They don’t care and are busy, I get it. But still.

It is hard not to hear when others have heard. But for goodness sakes - it’s not personal. If you’ve written off IU it shouldn’t matter at this point anyway. Big school admissions do not care about our feelings. If that’s not for you there are lots of small privates who will chat it out for days if you want to pay full sticker.

DS24 applied in October with DA stats for Hutton and has also not yet heard back. We expect to hear in the next 7 days though as originally planned. Seems premature to feel “ignored”

(Being from CA may make it easier for us to be patient though, since he wont hear anything from UC schools until late March. )

On the portal astrology front, his Program field recently changed
from University Div Pre-Informatics
to Informatics Undergraduate.
