My daughter received notice of admission today for microbiology and it said she would receive more details next week.
Would next week’s details include an offer to Hutton Honors? Or would she have received that already?
Her stats:
-GPA: 4.0 UW/5.25 W
-ACT 34
-11 AP classes (8 tests taken so far, received all 5s).
-Plenty of good ECs, but not sure that’s even a Hutton criteria.
Still waiting…OOS…applied mid September.

Son accepted today but the status shows University Pre-Business. Online shows he will receive more details in the mail. Does he need to submit a petition for Kelley DA?

Based on earlier admits in this thread, Hutton DA students were notified in the email that comes in a few days after portal admit.

My daughter’s Hutton Honors was only mentioned in the follow up letter she got in the mail (not in the email).

My daughter is in the same situation as yours (ACT/Sat scores & GPA all exceed Kelley DA requirements but attended 2 high schools so required to submit review for Kelley since their software won’t capture 2 gpas to flag Kelley) My daughter applied 10/16 and was admitted pre-business today 1/8/24. However she submitted review at a later date than initial application… Assuming once a human at Kellley admissions sees her gpa’s & scores she’ll be changed to direct admit. She’s planning to double major in finance & accounting.
Tell your daughter keep checking portal every day! Looks like she applied 4 days after my daughter did. I think she’ll be admitted very soon!!!

Seems to be a lot of focus on Kelley within this thread. How about just standard admit to IU. My son applied on 10-18 and we have not heard anything. Has anyone received a deferral or rejection? Is 1-15 still the assumed notification deadline? Thanks

Yes, Jan 15th is deadline for all EA applicants.
Email response from admissions office.
All students who completed their application by November 1 are guaranteed a response by January 15. Therefore, you could receive a response anytime between now and January 15.
My daughter also used to say Application and is now back to Applicant. Changed sometime this morning.

Just in case, anyone is in the same boat, I spoke to Kelly. They confirmed that my son is a direct admit for Kelley but Kelley hasn’t updated the info at their end to reflect his eligibility for attending Direct Admit Day. I was asked to try again on Friday.
We are OOS and waiting… app was submitted end of Sept. Assuming we just hold tight till 1/15. I’m not on my daughter’s portal and I’m not playing this speculation game of reading into anything. It’s a waste of energy. Either they get in or they don’t…
