Indiana University or Uconn

Which one you think is better? I am going to major in finance and accounting

Tough one…flip a coin

In my opinion…UConn

IU- is ranked overall 11th by USNews 7th for finance
U-Conn is ranked 66th by USNews for overall business.

US News Rankings: Finance
Indiana: 7th
Connecticut: unranked

US News Rankings: Accounting
Indiana: 8th
Connecitut: unranked

US News Rankings: Overall Business
Indiana: 11th
Connecticut: 62nd

Is cost a concern at either school?

most likely im going to IU, i just wanted to hear what other peoples opinions were. i thought uconn was ranked higher than that, guess not

If you want to go into the NY or Boston markets, UConn is much better. If you want to go into the Chicago or other markets in that part of the country then Indiana.

http://www.uhakpark.co.kr/univ.htm

Note: those are the 2004 rankings, the 2005 are the latest, but they don’t go low enough to show UConn’s ranking, so I used 2004’s list.

Are you from Connecticut or Indiana?

ct, i would have to go to a satelite campus of uconn for a year though

I thought so too…

Go to UConn. Transfer in the business program after a couple years. Make sure to get your gpa to as close to a 3.5 as possible. When you graduate you will have like no loans. If you go to Indiana you will be more in debt. Not worth it, believe me.
