Ok, main question here, in percentage, what is the chance that I will be rejected from all: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, and Stanford?

I would say a 60-75% chance. You are right in the ‘crapshoot’ range for the non HYPS Ivies. Dartmouth is the best shot of the schools you mention, but its no cakewalk to get into. My advice is to apply to similar schools to Dartmouth as well: Duke, Penn, Brown, and as an easier admit Cornell. That way you are likely at Cornell, and one of Dartmouth, Duke, Brown, and Penn should come through.

Wow. 60-75% chance of getting rejected from all of them? Thats harsher than I thought… ah… I just don’t have the money to apply to anymore schools…

It will be so worth it to apply though. I’d say more like a 60% chance. The thing is its really hard to tell at this level, it could go either way. Dartmouth is the best shot, but others in similar shoes have been rejected. Consider just one more app, to Cornell. Its pretty much going to boost your chances at getting accepted SOMEWHERE bigtime, and is a great school.

Yeah, I am considering it a little more to Cornell.

But, I already have applied to Tulane and was accepted EA, and I applied to USC as a Safe Match. So, its not that I need a safety school.

The one thing that gives me hope is that one of the Harvard admissions guys was down here, saying Harvard was really trying to get more people to apply from down here. Whether that meant anything or not, probably not, but I will apply anyway,

Yeah, I just filled out the basic information form for Cornell and am about to send it in tomorrow. Its pretty funny that I may actually end up going there…and originally I wasn’t going to apply.
