I’m enrolled as an industrial engineering undergraduate , but i still do not understand the industrial engineering outcomes and objectives, so i’m considering transfering into computer engineering. What is the difference in career paths and employment etc…
Why did you choose industrial in the first place? What school?
Industrial engineers design better ways to do things. IE has been referred to as the business-y side of engineering since it largely deals with efficiency and productivity (and therefore profitability). There are myriad applications, and the career paths are more varied that perhaps any other major.
Your school probably has details of the major on their website, but the best I have seen is from Georgia Tech (which is the #1 school in the world for IE):

It is the one i got accepted in.
What school do you go to? Why did you choose to apply to IE?
