Ineligible to appeal to UT Austin

HI
I was rejected from UT Austin for Computer Science at the College of Life Sciences despite having stats i consider ‘acceptable’. Anyways, I wanted to appeal the decision, but when I log in through my EID to appeal, it says “You don’t have any applications eligible for appeal”.
Any tips on what I should do? Is anyone else facing the same problem?

Call your state representative.

Just kidding!!!

Unless you have new information to offer, it is a long shot. Like unless your class rank jumped up or you won a big national award, you don’t have anything new to add to your application.

You start appeals here–http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/appeals Once you submit an appeal it shows up at your appeals tab in UTEID.

Unfortunately you are not an admissions officer. They did not consider your stats acceptable. time to move on.

@TomSrOfBoston‌ I know a guy with considerably worse stats who got in, so…
Anyways, not the point. I was wondering why I was ineligible to appeal

First of all, UT Austin doesn’t have a College of Life Sciences. (It’s Natural Sciences.)

You might want to try again to see if you can submit an appeal, as there may have been a temporary glitch with the system. Then call the Admissions Office to see why the system won’t accept an appeal from you.

Was your acquaintance who was accepted applying to the same major? He may have had experience beyond his stats that tipped the balance in his favor.

There were over 900 people rejected from CS this year who put it as their first choice major, so you’ll need something to prove you’re better qualified than all of them. If you put it as your second choice, you don’t have a prayer.
