Inexpensive Movers for a Small Amt of Stuff

<p>I’m sure this question has already been asked and answered here on CC. I’m trying to help my niece who is moving from graduate school on the East coast to her 1st job in Denver. She is shipping her car and flying out. She has the following items to move:</p>

<p>1 bed – optional. Cost $200 at IKEA, can be ditched
1 desk – Optional, Cost $20 garage sale
10, 55 gal sized boxes</p>

<p>I am thinking UPS ground, but wanted to know if anyone had any other ideas?</p>

<p>Rent a cargo van…and drive.</p>

<p>Check the rates at UPS and compare with gas at $4/gal, hotel, meals, and van rental. My neighbor shipped furniture to her daughter when the grandmother died and they divided her stuff between family members. She said it was easier and lots cheaper.</p>
