info about westwood palm!

hey all,
im an international student going abroad to UCLA for fall 11’ and winter quarter, and i was assigned to westwood palm 2bd 3pp.
i would like to know if you know something about those apartments and that type of room, how do you decide the distribution in rooms, how is it

do you think is a good option? or may i try to an off-campus accomodation?
i don’t have any problem in travelling in a bike-able distance.

where in the campus are design|media arts buildings? are too far from westwood palm?

any info you can give me will be very appreciated
thank you very much guys, see ya this fall.

I have the same thing! I couldn’t find any information about this place anywhere!!! :(

I’m guessing it is the university apartments in Palms? Try to look that up online and confirm. I don’t know anything about these apartments, but there should be a shuttle that leaves around the area and goes to campus. I think it takes 25-30 minutes to get to campus by the shuttle. By bike might take 45 minutes to 60minutes??

No, it’s very close to campus. The address is 475 Gayley, so it’s right across from De Neve.

UCLABruin is correct, sorry, I had mistaken it for the university apartments in Palms from its name.

Biking to the design/arts building should take 15 minutes.

Ooooh, that’s great to know that it’s that close to campus!

I was more curious about how the apartment is like? Such as the environment and such. Any good places to eat nearby? :)

@ hazied – hey, I also got a 2 bd and 3 pp at westwood palms for the this upcoming term as well. :)

I didn’t find that much information about them except that they are closer to the north side of campus.

they are at a walking distance from campus don’t worry it’s not that far.

I think rooms are assigned based on what you paid. If you signed up for the cheapest you’ll get the shared room with the other person (it’s $700 a month) and then the person who is gonna pay more gets the single.
