Or how about being in the top half of the class (100%)? You sound like you are whining about absolute numbers when W&M, and many other colleges, say that there is no absolute minimum? As you quoted, someone with a 3.4 GPA who has taken AP classes all 4 years of High School and didn’t receive an “honors” GPA boost is definitely still competitive.
