Information regarding practicing for the SAT

<p>Hello,
I currently live in Israel, i’m in the english speakers class and i want to learn in a university in USA.
I have pretty high grades and i have many extracurricular activities.
I have 3 years until i would take the SAT, and in those three years i would like to reach a very high English level.
My goal is to reach a Perfect SAT score, and i would be grateful if you could give me information regarding how to improve my english in the next few years to reach this level.
Also, i would be glad if you could recommend me some good SAT books.
I allready have Barron’s SAT and The Official SAT Study Guide.</p>

<p>Hey , I’m an international as well . Let me give you a few tips :
You have 3 years. That’s enough time to ace the SAT , but only if you’re persistent in your preparation.</p>

<p>Overall preparation : </p>

<p>1[Khan</a> Academy](<a href=“http://www.khanacademy.org/]Khan”>http://www.khanacademy.org/) <- Math . In 3 years you can probably do the whole Khan Academy , but you don’t have to. SAT doesn’t require you to know all subjects in math.
2 [SparkNotes:</a> SAT Novels](<a href=“http://www.sparknotes.com/satfiction/]SparkNotes:”>http://www.sparknotes.com/satfiction/) <- You can read those as a start .<br>
3 I would recommend you to buy yourself a 500-600 page dictionary notebook and write down every new word. Registering on [Flash</a> cards, vocabulary memorization, and study games | Quizlet](<a href=“http://quizlet.com/]Flash”>http://quizlet.com/) is also a must-do. Search the site for SAT wordlists and study them.
4 Advanced reading -> Try to read some good literature in English. Frankenstein, The Crucible etc.
5 Write essays on random SAT topics.
6 1 year prior to your first SAT , I’d suggest you to buy the following books:

  • The Official Study Guide (also known as the Blue Book)
  • Barron’s Preparing for The SAT
  • Barron’s 2400
  • Dr.Chung’s Math
  • Princeton Review
    Other:
  • The SAT online course
-Some old Q&As scattered around the internet</p>

<p>This is probably the best collection of prep materials one could have. Do all the excersises, review them , make a notebook with the questions you failed to answer properly (very helpful for Math) .
Don’t cram yourself - make a study schedule and stick to it. In an year you must do all the aforementioned prep materials in order to get into the 2350-2400 range.</p>
