Information Science at Duke: Trinity or Pratt?

I’m interested in the interdisciplinary program: Information Science & Information Studies.
Will the program give me a major? Or is it only a program that I can join to help guide my set of classes?

Am i supposed to declare some other major and then join this? It seems like a collaborative effort of different majors working together.

Help!

From what I can tell, it’s not a major. It’s a certificate program with a specific set of ISIS courses (6 in all) which you would need to take in order to complete the certificate. You would, of course, still need to choose a major (in fact, only people who have declared a major may officially enroll in the ISIS certificate program). If I had to take a guess, I would say maybe computer science would be a good choice.

NOTE: you can take ISIS courses (and have them count toward a certificate at a later date) while undeclared for a major, but to declare for an ISIS certificate, you must be declared for a major.

Here’s the ISIS website with more info on curriculum and courses:

To answer the title of this thread, ISIS is Trinity. There are exactly 4 majors in Pratt and all 4 have the word “engineering” in them (biomedical engineering, civil & environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical & computer engineering).
