<p>Who all applied? I did, but I don’t think I will get it. I haven’t done anything amazing in terms of community service; I just really enjoy it. Either way, if I go to Vanderbilt I’m going to join Circle K and other volunteer organizations.</p>
<p>A girl from our community was a finalist for the Ingram and interviewed on campus, but she didn’t receive it and ultimately ended up taking a gap year to work on her project before starting Harvard. D had a suitemate her sophomore year who was an Ingram scholar and she was in Uganda and elsewhere frequently working on her community service. The people who get this award are seriously into the community service work.</p>
<p>My D had seriously good community service, with leadership, and she didn’t get an interview. The students who get Ingram interviews are pretty amazing!</p>
