INR Facebook Study---D wants to do this for $100 a month

My D has interviewed and was selected to be in a market research study about Facebook use.
She attaches a device to our modem and it tracks her use (but does not post things on her wall).
She gets a $100 gift card a month. Does anyone know about this? Any opinions?

If this is OK then I will have H do it too–we all keep things pretty private.

I’m in market research. It can absolutely be legit. I know researchers at FB. Pm me.

But you can’t just have H do it too. They are selecting people to match certain demographic characteristics. They may or may not want participants in the same household.

Tell me the name of the company behind it and I will tell you if they are one of the legit ones.

HI,
Thanks for responding, sorry I have taken so long to get back to you.
We have been traveling. We have decided that we do not want D to use our computer for this.
It was with INR Marketing. That is really all the contract says.
Thanks for any input you have!

My Husband is a Market Research Director in a large corporation while I don’t know anything about this particular company I wouldn’t do it either… I wouldn’t want anyone invading my privacy for $100 a month.

I have 30 years experience in this field. I’ve not heard of INR. Though sometimes a company I trust will have a different consumer-facing name.

Thanks!
D has let it go.
