Inside into the Admissions Office

This is a 1990 video of the way that Princeton admissions works. Granted it is dated, but I found it very interesting about how they ranked academic and extracurricular achievements.

[Dean Fred Hargadon on Princeton admissions, circa 1990 - The Reel Mudd](http://blogs.princeton.edu/reelmudd/2011/04/dean-fred-hargadon-on-princeton-admissions-circa-1990.html)

VERY nice article.

Watch the video to. It is really good–probably the most transparent committee that I have ever seen. Granted this was circa late 1990s

I highly doubt that admission protocol has remained the same over the last two decades. Just way too much has changed.

Obviously thus the reason for my qualifying statement but it should be noted that Fred Hargardon was dean until I think 2002/2003 until the Yale scandal. That makes this post a lot more relevant in my opinion.

wait what yale scandal?

Princeton admissions looked into Yale’s database for I think 7 student’s information. Google it. It is pretty easy to find.
