Inside The Next Packet

So today, I’m faxing the acceptance to Haverford. I’m going to mail it to, just to make sure they have it :-P. Anyways, I am hypothesizing that they are going to send a letter to acknowledge they received it.

But I don’t like letters…I like PACKAGES. And I like books. And I like pamphlets. I like to be informed. So this doesn’t apply to any particular school; I just want a general idea. What will be in the next packet? Will they send a course listing? I don’t like just looking online. I want to touch it. Lick it. Okay, that’s enough with the psycho talk. Really though, if any of you have already accepted the school of your choice, what did you get in the mail?

So no one received anything?

Information on housing, orientation, various clubs might send you stuff, required health center forms, probably info regarding your major/department, etc. This stuff didn’t all come in the same package though. And I’m going to a state school (Iowa State), so I’ll go ahead and assume that you might get more stuff from a private. I don’t know anything about Haverford so its a crapshoot. I didn’t get a course list but in the packet with stuff about my major I got some papers about ISU’s “Soar in Four” Plan, which guarantees I’ll graduate in 4-years if I follow the enclosed four-year outline or ISU will pay for additional semesters. It’s actually a really good plan and some of my friends at other colleges wish they had the same program. But enough of that.
The basics of the next package(s) are/will be housing, health, orientation, campus activities. Hope I helped :)

LOL, yes you did. I’m a bit jumpy, which is explained by the pot of coffee I’ve had, (tons of work to do, senioritis is a ***** :-P). I know that it said to have your enrollment decision postmarked by May 1st but I want them to HAVE it May 1st so I can see what’s in the package.

Congratulations on the “Soar in Four” plan. That sounds incredible. What’s the acceptance rate for transfers…j/k. But that really is impressive. What’s your major? (And keep the info coming guys)
