<p>[Inside</a> the Room During a College Admission Decision - YouTube](<a href=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI7LvDzlShY]Inside”>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI7LvDzlShY)</p>
<p>lol… I just found and watched this 2 min video and honestly it’s really interesting.</p>
<p>Since this video shows Amherst, I guess many prestigious unis do similar process.</p>
<p>So…I guess it goes like that.
- They divide apps into geographical regions
- 2 ppl read and weed out rejections according to academic stats (GPA,SAT), and qualified apps move on to 2nd round
- More people gather in 2nd round and choose either accept/waitlist more based on essays,ECs… (interesting family story helps here according to video
)</p>
<p>and I know this can’t be generalized, I guess AP scores ARE considered in admission…</p>
<p>AND it seems like interesting personal (family) stories play huge important role here…</p>
