Insider's view of UCSD admissions

<p>If you’ve applied to UCSD, you need to read the following article from today’s San Diego Union Tribune. They got special permission to sit in on the training sessions that UCSD readers must undergo before examining applications. The article explains how the UCSD admissions folks look at the non-grade/test score aspects of the comp. review process. It may surprise some to know that they can spend as little as two minutes to as much as 45 minutes on each application, but that if you don’t cut the initial review of grades/test scores, chances are you’ll be in the first category, not the latter.
