I have a relative who is going to pursue his dream of living and working in another country. He graduated two years ago with a business degree from a big conference university and is working as an analyst. He plans to quit soon before he feels ‘trapped’. His only debt is a small school loan of $140/month payment. Has anyone done this or know of someone who has successfully? He doesn’t have anything lined up. Plans to move in with another relative rent/cost free while he pursues this.
I do know one does not have to pay US taxes up to $92,000 or so per year earned working overseas. However, securing a work visa can be difficult depending on the country and in most cases requires sponsorship (ie: having a job lined up).
@Mandalorian thanks for the info. Yes, he’s trying to look for a job preferably in Australia but has no leads or connections.
